Hello!

My name is Destiny Howard and I grew up in Ellington, New York. I eventually moved to Warren shortly after my dad passed away to finally leave an abusive relationship and give my children a life of opportunity. 

Most of my adult life I spent working as a CNA. I eventually enrolled into college completing 3 1/2 years and planning to finish my bachelor’s in political science next spring. While in college I focused more on politcs and what I could do on an individual level to help. I have hosted a podcast to spread awareness on topics ranging from animal rights to drug addiction. I have organized charity events to raise money for addiction recovery and LGBT rights. I have also helped my community come together to give over 200 impoverished children presents for christmas and provide the homeless in Jamestown necessary supplies to survive the winter. 

Service has been my life and I believe that is the job of a state representative. I have struggled and suffered throughout my life expiercing the worst aspects of poverty. I know what it is like to fall on the safety nets available. I also know how hard you hit the ground when they aren’t there and I will work hard everyday to make life better for you. 

I’m not a politican. I’m just another citizen that is tired and ready for change.
